This is an annual event which is only for Sir William Ramsay School students; it is a very pleasant occasion for the Year 11’s to get together for the final time as a year group. It is important that your son/daughter is collected from High Wycombe Town Hall promptly at 11.00pm. Could I please make it clear to your son or daughter that this is a strictly non-alcohol and non-smoking event and that serious consequences will result if the staff at High Wycombe Town Hall advise me of any student trying to purchase alcohol. Any student involved will be sent home immediately.  Students will not be permitted to leave the vicinity of High Wycombe Town Hall for any reason.

We would also like to ensure you are aware that any student arriving at the Prom who is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol or any other illegal substance will be refused entry to the event and that any money paid will not be refunded.  We will contact parents/carers to collect their child in this event.

If a student’s behaviour does not meet the school’s Code of Conduct then they may not be allowed to attend the Prom. We would also advise that if a student has been excluded or spent any time in either the Zone or Student Support they may not be allowed to attend. Individuals who believe that this may refer to them and who wish to attend, should contact Mrs Tilbury prior to paying for a place.  Please note that there will be no refunds available for any place already purchased should the student then be unable to attend due to any reason.

In the past this event has always proved to be a very pleasurable evening and I am sure that this will be a memorable and enjoyable finale to Year 11 for our GCSE students.

Yours sincerely

Miss B Sparks

Head of Year 11
