Courses:
At Sir William Ramsay, all students now study Spanish at Key Stage 3. They are taught in their tutor groups during Year 7 and in Year 8 and 9 they are set.
In Spanish at Key Stage 3, we use Listos textbooks with Year 7 & 8. In Year 9 pupil start the GCSE course and use the Viva textbooks. We work with the CDs, textbooks and activity books in all lessons and we also subscribe to 'Linguascope.com' and 'espanol-extra.com' to help students revise vocabulary regularly. There are a variety of clubs running at lunch time and after school. We also have a Foreign Language who works with our pupils on their speaking and pronunciation.
At KS4 languages becomes an option and students can choose GCSE Spanish and some of them carry on to A-level.
Our recent results at GCSE were very good and we work towards improving them furthermore each year.
