Music
While attending Sir William Ramsay School our students will develop the confidence and skills to perform and compose music from a range of cultures through independent and collaborative work. Students will explore the ability to express emotion whilst generating a knowledge base of the historic and modern-day music industry.
Students throughout Key Stage 3 learn different topics and genres from around the world, whilst embedding the key skills such as performing, composing, reading notation, working as an ensemble, a range of instrumental skills and music production skills. Underpinning all of these areas is the understanding and application of key musical elements. In Key Stages 4 and 5 students have options to specialise in Music as an option where we run the BTEC Level 2 and Level 3 courses, with excellent results.
