Philosophy & Ethics

Philosophy & Ethics

The aim of the RE curriculum is to expand pupils’ knowledge of the world’s diversity and open their minds to the different values, religions, ideas and cultures around them. Our curriculum aims to challenge students' moral points of view and to develop respect and appreciation of how to live in a diverse and inclusive society. The diversity of the school community I reflected in the variety of religions and cultures studied throughout the curriculum.

We do this by valuing different perspectives through the study of different cultures and religions. Our department aims to promote student well-being and an awareness of the usefulness of RPE to everyday living, to encourage enthusiasm and interest in the study of other people’s beliefs and cultures.
