Year 12 - Cancellation of work experience week

Year 12 - Cancellation of work experience week commencing 17th July 2017

Further to my recent letter, I am writing to inform you that it is with regret that we must cancel work experience for our Year 12 students for the week commencing 17 July 2017.  This is due to reasons beyond our control regarding quality assurance and safety checks that must now be in place for work experience placements taking place during term time.  All students must therefore attend school as normal, time tabled lessons will take place as usual.

We would ask you to encourage your child to make individual arrangements over the Summer holidays to participate in a form of voluntary work/work experience, as the skills they gain from this are invaluable and are useful in supporting UCAS personal statements and CVs.

We would also like to notify you that on 10 July 2017 all Year 12 students will be off timetable to attend a Future Options Day at school.  To enable them to prepare for this day please could you child complete the attached sheet and bring this along to the day.

If you have any queries regarding the above please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely

Miss E Le Count
