2020 A level exam results
In a year where our lives have been turned upside down it is important as ever to celebrate our hard-working students. Although our students were unable to complete the final part of their studies, we would like to celebrate the culmination of 13 years of hard work in education, 7 of which have been at Sir William Ramsay School.
“We are immensely proud of the mature way that our students made the best of these difficult and unprecedented circumstances. We have been delighted with the grades achieved and congratulate the students on their success achieved through their hard work and the excellent support of their dedicated staff and parents/carers.” said Mrs McLintock, Headteacher.
“I am so proud of how hard our students have worked over the past 2 years. We look forward to hearing about their successes as they go off into the next stages of their lives. Despite everything that has been happening since March 2020, every one of our students has got into a university of choice.” said Miss Sanmartin the Head of Sixth Form.
A few of the top performers at Sir William Ramsay School were: Will Fury (Loughborough -University) – Human Biology), Tia Salter (Loughborough University – Psychology), Zeenat Aftab (University of Reading – Law), Chase Ashby (Royal Holloway University of London – Geography) and Emily Drew (University of Gloucester – Physical Education).
At Sir William Ramsay School, we strive to help every student reach their potential, and as well as excellent examination results, our Sixth Form students have been developing:
- leadership skills and opportunities
- their extended writing skills through successful completion of the highly regarded Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), with excellent results
- communication skills through debating and presentations in local competitions
- their employability skills by undertaking work experience.
Well done to all Sir William Ramsay students!
