The effective use of technology has always been key to teaching and learning at SWR. Today, technology has become a more important tool than ever, keeping us connected and allowing teaching and learning to continue from anywhere, at any time.
Over the last 12 months, teachers, students and parents have done brilliantly in adapting to the challenging circumstances imposed by the pandemic. Our students and their families have dealt with unprecedented uncertainty, and teachers have quickly learned to become digital collaborators and virtual teaching hosts, allowing learning to continue safely at a distance.
We are extremely proud of what we have all accomplished and are excited to build upon the great work that our entire school community has done and go even further.
The world has changed, and SWR are committed to embrace the positive aspects of this change and drive forward with a new vision for how technology will enable us not only to sustain, but to enhance learning – today and in the future.
Our aim is to provide a seamless teaching and learning experience by ensuring equitable access to technology for all students and promote the four C’s of 21st century learning skills;
- Critical Thinking
At Sir William Ramsay School, our vision has always been to build a dynamic learning community which ‘empowers everyone to achieve’, and our new digital learning strategy aligns perfectly with that ethos.
